My Story...
Voted least likely to get pregnant
More than a dozen years ago, I was confronted with a heartbreaking prognosis - I was told I would never be able to conceive. Today, I am a proud mother of four. Miracles? Absolutely! My journey through infertility was riddled with every conceivable obstacle. Severe endometriosis, countless uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), hyperthyroidism, and Factor V Leiden were all part of my narrative. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I also had a double mutation of the MTHFR gene. The struggle was immense; I could barely maintain a job due to my uncontrollable menstrual flow. Emotionally, I was in turmoil, and my longing for a child was overwhelming.
Our quest for help led us to fertility specialists. The outlook was grim. At 35, with hyper-ovulation and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), I was deemed an unsuitable candidate for In -Vitro Fertilization (IVF). IUI was an option, but with less than a 10% chance of success, we decided against it. Instead, I chose aggressive surgery to remove the fibroids and committed myself to research how to enhance fertility naturally and understand the factors that influence it. This exploration sparked the beginning of a lifelong passion.
